President of GAMA
Ing F. Kofi Asare-Yeboah has had a distinguished career spanning over 45 years in the Consulting Engineering Industry in Ghana. Ing. Asare-Yeboah graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he obtained BSc. (Civil Eng.) degree in 1969. He furthered his formal education with Masters Degree in Structures from University of Cincinnati, USA in 1975. He has since attended numerous professional development and management courses in Ghana and elsewhere.
He began his career as a Civil Engineer with Associated Consultants in 1969. He became a Director and Senior Partner of the Company in 1977. He was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in 2005. Between 1974 and 1976, he worked briefly with A. M. Kinney Inc. (Consulting Engineers), USA, as a Professional Engineer. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Associated Consultants Limited.
He had been responsible for the design and construction supervision of numerous infrastructural projects involving office complexes, schools and housing projects, roads and bridges, urban water and sanitation systems. In his professional career, Ing Asare-Yeboah has also trained and mentored several engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and other professionals within the built environment.
As part of his social responsibility, Ing Asare-Yeboah, had also served as a member of the development committees on a number of Institutions and currently on the development committee of the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He is also a member of the Governing Council of Central University, Ghana.
Ing Asare-Yeboah is a Fellow, Ghana Institution of Engineers, Past President of Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) 1996/1997; Past President of Ghana Consulting Engineers Association and Chairman of the Group of Africa Member Associations (GAMA) of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).
